Zbyněk Müller studied conducting and oboe. He has been successfull in both fields. From 1992 till 94 he was an oboist in the orchestra of the opera of the National Theatre. In 1996 he won the second prize in the Prague Spring Festival competition. Since 1995 he has been a principal oboist in the Prague Philharmonia. He studied conducting with Jiří Bělohlávek. He has conducted other Czech orchestras as a guest and has collaborated with the opera of the National Theatre where he has been engaged since 2004. From 2000 till 2002 he worked as an assistant to conductor Vladimir Ashkenazy in the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra.
